Yep, takeit to a seamstress/dressmaker and see if there is any fabric in the seams to take out. If not, perhaps a panel of similar fabric can be inserted which might not be too noticeable. Not ideal though. Otherwsie just let her find a similar dress. They don't have to match exactly.
thats what i thought of-- getting it taken in...but apparently she said there is not enough fabric to do that. i m currently looking to see other dresses.. i just feel bad if she has to pay for it...I may just pay for it for her.

<div>This is a great idea. Or go to Joann Fabric and find similar fabric/color to it, and have the seamstress add some to each side. If the seamstress says she can't do it, find someone who can. No worries... you'll find a solution!</div>

<div>this! it might not be cheap, but will be less costly than a new dress</div>
Corset back. Had to do this with a BM at wedding #1. She bought a dress that was about 2-3 sizes too small. I think she only spent $75 to change the backing. You couldn't even tell hers was different from the others. Also at my sister's wedding one of her BMs also had to take it out several sizes. In that case they bought an extra panel of the fabric and just expanded it that way. But in that case she had to take it out much, much more (5-6 sizes I believe) and a corset back just wasn't going to cut it!

I believe in a lot of things. I believe in fresh tennis balls, the healing power of bunnies, and that the novels of Susan Sontag are something I'll never read. In fact, I don't even know who Susan Sontag is. What is she... like... a painter? I believe in Crystal Lite because I believe in ME. I believe in the movies of Val Kilmer, though these days it ain't so easy. I believe in Darren Sproles, the word "dabble", the first season of "Silk Stockings", and big, warm, moist, gooey chocolate chip cookies that melt in your mouth and all over your face.
