Is anyone getting married Nov 2nd weekend? I had already set the date and then found out that there is a huge ADA conference and Voodoo Fest ended up being that weekend too.

    Although it seems really sucky right now, just know that pretty much every weekend that time of year has large events. You're lucky you found out now!

    We were married last year during parent's week at the universities, the weekend before Voodoo and on the same day as a Saint's home game, plus some large convention. Like PP said, get hotel blocks now and jus tlet your guests, especially those you know for certain will need rooms, that they should book now to avoid higher prices later on because they will go up.

    One of my friends is getting married that weekend and she couldn't get hotel blocks. Try something that's not right in the quarter maybe on St. Charles and guests can always ride the streetcar into the French Quarter.
