Bridesmaid Bouquet- No flowers

We are having a small wedding and I am only having 1 bridesmaid, challenge is she is very allergic to flowers. What should she carry? I am having a brooch bouquet but don't want the same thing for her since it would be hard to match it at all. Ideas on what she could carry?

Re: Bridesmaid Bouquet- No flowers

  • Maybe silk flowers or origami flowers?

  • What about a vintage/cool looking fan, or a lantern with a candle?

Also, some other things from which you can make bouquets: shells, ribbon, candy, buttons, fake flowers,.

  • My bridesmaid is carrying a bouquet of succulents. Not because she's allergic to flowes, I just love our structural they are! We have succulent centre pieces too.

I've seen really cool button bouquets too!

  • perhaps a kissing ball with silk flowers?
  • love the lantern idea
  • I'm planning on getting matching clutch purses for my bridesmaids to carry.  I had also thought about fans but I don't think it'll look right with an indoor wedding.

  • I like PPs advice, but wanted to throw out there she could carry a parasol or something if it fits into your theme :)

I included a picure of what we did for my SIL wedding last fall, we made white fabric and ribbon flowers bouquets, they were cost effective and very unique (AND LIGHT). You can find lots of DIY tutotrials on pinterest and youtube. Tedious but you get the hang of it and crank them out quickly after a while.
