Are you procrastinating on anything for the wedding?

Yeah, the officiant. I really wanted one of my friend's mothers to do it, she's an amazing person and a great speaker and I consider her to have been a big part of my college life. But I haven't heard back from her, and on top of being really busy I'm really anxious that she'll say no.

Everything.

Mom probably thinks I'm procrastinating on this idea we hadwhen we first decided on our the BM dresses last year but I really just don't want to do it anymore. I know I've told her this, but she won't listen. It's really starting to aggravate me because she keeps sending pictures/links to things we could do.

(The idea was to put a brooch of some kind on the belt of the dresses and I just don't see that as necessary anymore)

I was procrastinating on a lot of DIY but started to get a bunch done. Now I think I'm procrastinating on figuring out the different songs for the day of and making a must-have photo list for the photographer and filling out all the forms for the dj and photographer even though they'd be quick and easy.

ETA: oh ya DrPB, we have made no decision or even really talked about what the heck were doing for an officiant except that I really don't want to pay a few hundred for a stranger when I can pay to have a friend or family member do it for only $35.

Figuring out the second reading for the ceremony. We just can't find anything that fits what we want.

midge: Where were you going to get the broaches. I was thinking of doing this for my FG dress so she matches me a little bit more. I don't even know where to start looking. Thanks.

We really need to figure out our wedding cake, but it's just so expensive!! I really hate thinking about it, especially since I just want something super simple. FI and I have decided we're going to tackle that the beginning on March.

I feel like that's the only real thing I've been procrastinating on.

For some reason I feel like I'm missing things on my to-do list because I don't think there's enough stuff on there. I'm crazy.

ETA: We also really need to book our honeymoon, but that's FI's job!

I have been feeling the same way. I am thinking its because we got a lot done early on so now we can sort of coast to the finish... maybe?

Ummm...pretty much everything! I feel like I have been doing stuff little by little, but now that we are down to 4-5 months it needs to start happening quicker.

My friend is the BM who was incommunicado, so that wouldn't have worked. We finally caught each other online and chatted the other day (apparently she sent me an email that got lost, but she's having trouble getting the time off approved :() but I didn't want to bring it up just yet. I'm going to try to ask her if there's a better way to get ahold of Mamma C though (it's what we all call her), so fingers crossed.

It feels like pretty much everything for me too. The biggest things I am procrastinating on are the DIY projects, choosing the important songs, ordering invitations, booking the honeymoon, and finding a H/MU person.

I really should get moving more on invites. I should be farther on them than I am and I still need to buy stamps. Beyond that, I'm procrastinating on the cake. My uncle is our baker and I really just need to call him and talk to him about it.

I'm procrastinating on the officiant front too! I have a name to call but I HATE making phone calls, especially at work because I have zero privacy. I wish I could just send an email to make the first contact.

ah, yes the invites for me too! I know the person designing them won't take long, but I need to decide pocketfold and all of those little details inside the envelope besides the actual invite.

I keep finding ideas for centerpieces, but most of my decisions won't be made until we know if we can afford more floral centerpieces or stick more candles in there instead.

No idea for cake. FI's parents offered to buy our cake, but then we'd have to pay the cake cutting fee!

Figuring out who's going to do the readings (it took long enough to figure the ceremony out) and deciding on the tasting menu (different opinions=how are we ever going to narrow this down?) I'm going to figure out the readers tonight, though...

Since we are having a DW everthing is done for us, but I dont know what our wedding party is wearing. we want them comfortable and cool since it will be 90 degrees in Fl, but still want it to be classy.
