engagement photo locations?

Hi all,

My fiance and I are getting our engagement photos done in mid-May. Kind of stumped as to where we should go, though. We'd like to be outside, since flowers will likely be in bloom and that'd be really pretty, but I feel like Central Park is a little been-there-done-that.
We live in Manhattan and would ideally like to do something in the five boroughs for the sake of convenience.
We've toyed around with the Cloisters, Brooklyn Promenade, Prospect Park and Battery Park. We're getting married at Battery Gardens in Battery Park, though, so lots of our wedding photos will likely be there too.
Anyone have any thoughts on these locations, for or against? Other brilliant ideas?

    Highline and Meatpacking District are two great locations that are literally right next to each other.

    I love the park in DUMBO between the two bridges.  Also, the streets are cobblestone and you could get some cool shots.

    We are going to Brooklyn Botanical Gardens and then to Astoria Park...only because we live in Astoria!

    If you're thinking Prospect Park, the Boathouse is beautiful. My fiancé and I are having our ceremony at the Boathouse, and the lighting there, around it, and on the bridge is incredible. There are also lots of trails and beautiful waterfalls. There's also an almost secret garden when you follow the waterfall path that leads to a dried up fountain pool, but it's overgrown with greenery so it is still beautiful. I hope that helps.

    Thank you guys so much for the tips! We're leaning toward the Prospect Park side of things, with some shots at the gardens.
