Good Morning, NEY!

Hello, ladies! I haven't been posting much in the last few days, and I was just wondering what you all are up to. Tell me one thing that's been going on in the last 24 hours, big or small.

Mine: we got up this morning and it was SUPER chilly. I had to wrap myself in a blanket. Le sigh. Summer is basically over in Northern Minnesota, kids. We'll have springlike weather for a couple more weeks, then it'll be Fall.

Now you!

I went to the gym last night and I was the ONLY person to show up for class. At first I was bummed that none of the other girls were there...but then I felt really awesome that I went and basically got a free personal trainer for the evening!

I'm so ready for fall...we're still in the 90's here. Bring on the cool air and the changing leaves!

after a huge drought and 105-110 degree temperatures, we FINALLY got some rain this week!  today the high is only 101, so I'm excited about that!  finally, relief from the heat.

GAH, allusive! You're just as bad as BF, with the wishing for summer to go away! I'm sad because we only got about one month of consistently nice warm weather.

Yaga-I would never plan a wedding for October here, that's for sure. Minneapolis is usually warmer than up here, though, by about 10 degrees. Partly because we're on Lake Superior, I guess. Looking forward to your pics from the b-day dinner!

ETA: Coco, that's CRAZY. I'm glad you got some rain. We've been getting some pretty cool thunderstorms here.

I wish it were Fall here! I love fall and it's hot as a nut sack down south! Nothing big happening here. I'm looking for a job, which is depressing. I'm getting ready for a trip next week to Seattle to meet some of SO's family and as a long weekend away. I'm really excited b/c I have always wanted to visit Seattle and BF is from there and loves it and I just can't wait to watch people throw fish around, and eat fresh seafood, and do touristy things like see the spaceneedle and stalk all of Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain's old haunts!

    Vacation!!!

Hmmm, I've been packing to go visit my parents and sister...I catch the train after work today. I'm looking forward to seeing them, but not to the fact that I have to start to think wedding once I'm down there. Why did we decide to get married 7 hours away? Sigh

Ew, thanks, Danie, now I'm picturing sweaty, hairy balls.

Hazel, I hope things get more fun for you on the wedding planning front once you're there. Glad you're getting to go see the fam in any case.

New update on happenings in the world of Marley:
The guy on his scooter with the horn who rolls by every day is up early this morning!! No matter how crowded or empty it is in the corridor outside our office, dude honks and calls out, "Little kids, out of the way!!!" Every. Freakin'. Day. Whether or not there are any kids.

My day is pretty good today.

The email server and phones are down/wonky at work right now, which is partially fun and partially stressful. Email should be good now, and we can call out, but no one can call in - I kinda like that scenario :)

I am making dinner for my mom, sister, and aunt tonight at my sister's new apartment. I got everything ready last night for the chili-lime chicken with avocado sauce, with roasted stuffed red peppers on the side. My veggies and cheese are chopped, shredded and in baggies, my chicken is marinating, and I brought everything to my work refrigerator so that I can just head straight to my sister's tonight. The only thing stressing me out is that the chicken has been marinating in a myriad of chili powders since last night, so I hope it isn't too spicy by dinnertime! Ah well, I suppose that is what the cool avocado sauce is for :)

ETA: I am totally looking forward to fall as well. I'm in no rush for the summer to go away, but I am also super excited for changing leaves, pumpkin muffins, apple picking, Jack's Pumpkin Spice Ale, and roasted pork loin with jalapeno apple sauce :)

Yesterday my FI drove to Oklahoma to get the rest of his flight hours, so I'm going to be a loner for the next week and a half. Hopefully he can fly down to get me so I don't have to drive up there the weekend after next for a wedding we are going to. I'm really excited because it will be like a mini vacation. We are staying in a lake house that belongs to my FSIL's IL and I get to see some of my college buddies.

It has been ridiculously hot here like it has been for Coco. I can't wait for it to get below 90. I'm a little worried about this wedding we are going to because the ceremony is outside.

nik:  if the wedding is this Saturday in the city, you'll be in luck:  high of 96 (what??) and scattered storms (not so lucky there...)  where at in OK is your FI?  I work for the DoT with a lot of air controller/pilot/etc. students so he might be at my base!  small world.
I'm desperately looking forward to the high of 96.  it was 75 this morning when I left for work and I had to grab a sweater because it felt chilly.  it's so ridiculous.  everything is DEAD.  :(

last night, DH and I were leaving the church after doing some work, and his car makes these awful noises.  turns out his emissions hose broke, and it was 8:15 PM...  so we had 45 minutes to diagnose the problem and get the parts to fix it before all the auto parts stores closed.  after going to AutoZone twice and O'Reilly's twice, we finally got the right parts and fixed it.  by that time it was 9:30 PM and we hadn't had dinner yet, so instead of eating the meal I had ready, we went out to eat!  we call it our first "married crisis", haha.  it was an easy fix and cheap, so I'm thankful.  :)

Morning, all!  I'm working on a cross stitch quilt for my cousin's second kid (who is due in December) today.  A bit of tutoring this evening, but overall a pretty slow day (I'm not complaining at all.)  <---This paragraph makes me sound like a stay-at-home girlfriend, but it's just because the school semester hasn't started yet!  Even then, though, my two jobs combined aren't full time :)

And apparently we're getting a new neighbor next door!

That stinks about his car, but I'm glad you got it fixed and for cheap. How is the married life going for you besides this little incident?

The wedding is in Tulsa and that's also where my FI is building his hours. He isn't in the military so I doubt if you will see him any, but if you are ever on the radio you might hear him!

Yesterday, Andrew and I went to the Denver Zoo and then went to our first romantic dinner since we moved. It was just what the doctor ordered!

We went to a place called Ya Yas. At first- no one acknowledged that we were sitting there. Our server finally came over with a manager- and we got a free appetizer! Later in the evening, our server accidentally tipped over Andrew's half bottle of wine- so we got a free desert and desert wine. It really worked out in our favor! :)

Today- I'm calling all the temp agencies in Colorado Springs and begging them to give me a job. ;)

I finished my third day of the Insanity workouts today and my sister will be sending out an email to all the invitees for my bachelorette party today/this week. It's official, it will be in NYC the weekend of December 3. I'm hoping to hit a Broadway play (or two.. might do one on my own before everyone gets there). My BMs are psyched about it and I think two or three of my other friends might come, too. I'm so excited to see NYC all decorated for Christmas, I've never been there during Christmas-time before!!!

Good morning! I have that song in my head now.

I'm off to Seattle tomorrow morning (6:30am flight, yuck!). I'm going for work, and I'll stay the weekend to visit my family. My grandma may not be able to come down for the wedding as originally planned, so I thought I should get a visit in.

My MOH sent the notice for my bachelorette party, which is the last weekend of August. Nothing huge, since almost half the ladies have kids, but we're going to the beach.

I'm excited for fall also!!  I'm ready to break out my boots as silly as that sounds, I was thinking earlier I really want to revamp my style starting this fall.  I turned 26 last month but I feel like I still dress like I'm in college & even high school sometimes.  I need a more "adult" look.

Anyways, not much has been going on with me, I've been pretty lazy lately, trying to get back in the swing of things after being in DE for so long.  Oh! My coworker told me yesterday that he got me 2 tickets to the Eagles first home game this season!! I am so incredibly-beyond-can't-even-put-into=words excited!!!!!

Yaga - if none of my friends come in early, you can go to a show with me!!

rdr - Check out Ann Taylor Loft. I'm not sure if that's your style, but I feel like they have professional clothes that are still youthful and not stuffy. I have tons of stuff from there and White House Black Market (sale rack, of course).

    Good morning.

Ugh, it is not a good morning.  I didn't set an alarm and woke up late and was late for work.  I am drinking coffee and trying not to be grumpy.

On the bright side the family I was living with in Germany are here for two days!  I am really excited and enjoyed spending time with them last night.  I get to do it again tonight!  But I am going to have to move voice lessons.  :/

I am grumpy and kind of sad today, cheer me up?

Today is my birthday so I am off of work BF & I are heading to the beach in a few minutes. Had dinner with my family last night and have been  thoroughly spoiled by the BF and my parents.  Got nice tiffanys earring from my parents and BF got me a clothes steamer ( Ive been dying for one) and got me dance classes to start dancing at American repretory ballet co/Princeton ballet school in the fall.   He aso had flowers delivered to me at work yesterday and called me the love of his life.  So I feel like a very lucky girl right now.

Yaga -- I can't wait either!!! I hope they live up to all the hype.  As for where to sit, I can honestly say I've never had a bad seat at the Linc.  The view is awesome everywhere. That said, I prefer NOT to sit in sections 207-239 because it's kind of detached from the rest & is a pain in the butt to get to.  My coworker got me section 138 (40yard line), row freakin NINE for the 1st home game!!!  I meant to ask you what you're doing for the 1st game of the season on 9/11 against the Rams, I'm going to go to that Eagles bar in Hoboken with all the crazy Eagles fans!!

Coco -- I hear ya.  I work with pretty much all men, there are 4 other women around my age & they ALL dress much more adult than me.  I'm wearing a white pencil skirt & a sheer, pinkish, flowy kind of shirt & have been asked by 3 different people where I'm going & if I have a hot date after work LOL
