Outdoor Locations for Fall Wedding

Hi Ladies! I am newly engaged and starting to think of places to hold a reception/ceremony. I would like a fall wedding, something outdoors but has an indoor option and isn't going to break my bank. We are going to be working with a small budget, $6000 (give or take a little). I'd be looking for something in the Lebanon/:Lancaster/Hershey/Harrisburg area. Any suggestions? thoughts? Also, has anyone ever heard of Wind in the Willows in Grantville, I was checking out a photographers blog and there were some beautiful pictures taken at this location, but I can't find information on it anywhere!

Thanks!

By the way - i'm Carissa, FH is Bill. I live in Annville, have 2 kids, work for the state and just started back to school today, going to Drexel to get my teacher certification!

We got married at Fox Chase Golf Club in Stevens (between Reading and Lancaster), close to Ephrata.  Our ceremony was outside and reception inside, they also provide a location for outside receptions.  I would highly recommend Fox Chase, everything was perfect and I believe at a reasonabe price.  If you have any questions, let me know!!  Good luck!

congrats on your engagement!!!!  i'm getting married and having my reception at the Country Barn Farm Market, Lancaster, PA on 10-10-10.  It is a working farm and Farmer Jim is awesome to work with.  Check out their website.  We are getting married at the B&B which is across the street and if the weather isn't good - there is a 2nd floor to the barn that we can use.  Good luck!

I'm not sure if it's in the exact area you're looking for, but we got married at Ski Roundtop.  The Altland House is the exclusive caterer/event coordinator, so you'd want to Google them for information.  We planned an outdoor wedding but ended up inside because of the rain.  It is BEAUTIFUL in the fall though!  It cost a bit more than we had originally planned, but it was worth it for peace of mind--they took care of EVERYTHING.  Vendor reviews are in my bio if you'd like more details.

Thank you so much for sharing about the Country Barn Farm Market, that's sort of what I was looking for. Can you give me any more details such as the general cost, did they provide catering or are you bringing in someone from the outside, etc. I'd greatly appreciate it!

Thanks everyone else for the ideas - still not decided!

We went to the Civil War Museum in Harrisburg in October and loved it. You have several options of where to have your ceremony outside. I loved it because of the photo opportunities, one side of the park overlooks the city and the other side is the watershed (All you saw was a mountain of trees of beautiful maroons, yellows and reds). There also have elegant photo ops in the museum. They were pretty reasonably priced. Email them, they are very prompt in their response.

Country barn comes with catering, and even a DJ if you choose to use one of the regulars there.  The price of depends on the amount of people.  You can contact farmer Jim!  yes he is the actual farmer and he does the cooking too!  He is super nice and helpful.  he knows his stuff!   I was so impessed with the pics one of the girls sent me a link to i just had to have this place so i booked it without even seeing it!

Can someone explain why the wind and willows is so hard to find and get ahold of? My brother and his fiancé want to have their reception there but I almost feel like I'm bothering them now. They want to get married in the fall so I'm trying to get dates and prices soon! Thank you!!
