This is the african Amer culture board...my question is that when a question is posed as a new thread...should I expect different reactions on different boards? Of the same question? I posted a thread of an idea I had that's proving helpful for my small budget and these women went in on me....one called me a troll in reference to me having an A, B,C list...i know I'm guaranteed 90 ppl with a 100 person limit so I need no seat fillers as one said but id like to atleast extend the invite...and anyone who doesn't come...believe me I know I'll be occupied enough with who IS there...

    Yes it does. I have found the most helpful women on this board. Other places on the knot with the exception of my city are kinda horrible.

    I think that us as black people are a little bit different when it comes to weddings. And it seems that if your not on board with them they will jump all over you. The E board is the worst. No tiered receptions, no do over weddings, open bars are a must if you can't do it then have a dry wedding. Blah blah blah. They don't know how people's families and friends are. I'm comfortable here so I really don't ask questions anywhere else.

    I definitely find that particular boards are extremely judgemental and appear high and mighty..... I find that we..value each others opinion and even if we don't agree....we aren't nasty or ignorant about it... I agree.. that my city board.Las Vegas... are great..and when someone tries to come in and disrupt our board.. theyre shut down with a quickness..

    I echo everything that was said. I was sharing something on one board and got chewed alive! This board is by far the greatest! No judging! Just a safe place to share. I love it. You ain't crazy!

    NOt just you at all. I found out quickly which boards to post on. I post on this board most of the time and from time to time post on my month and city board. This board has been the most helpful doe.
