What candies to put in small jars?

I found these small mason jars that I plan on putting ribbon around for my favors and filling them with candy.  I feel like everyone does m&ms and they are so over rated.  I was thinking about maybe gummi bears... thoughts?  Thanks :)

Re: What candies to put in small jars?

  •  Watch out for those gummy bears... They get ooy gooy in heat and turn into a rock in the cold!

Try doing two candies! That way people got a choice (ie M&M's and Skittles)

  • I like M&M's even though they can be overrated lol. What are your colors? I'd probably want to match some of the candy with the wedding colors.
Wrapped hersheys kisses are always fun as well.

  • Whatever it is, it's got to be chocolate. M&Ms may be done to death, but so are mason jars, when you get right down to it. Why mess with what works?
  • As the saying goes 'If it aint broke, don't fix it'.
I always enjoy m&ms as they are something we don't have often in the house.
Gummy gears can get tricky with their sticky factor. For example, when we go to the yogurt bar, I like gummy bears but always have to dig and dig to get some out because they're all stuck together. You may find guests picking bears out with their fingers or dumping the jar upside down...

As someone else said though, Jelly Beans are also good. You could do little mints, or raisinets, etc.

<div>Speaking from experience, those suckers melt when not stored properly.  (We used jellybeans, and accidently ruined a batch of favors when we left them in an un-air-conditioned room in August).</div>

  • These M&M's are anything but normal and make for a great favor!
You can even pick your wedding colours. FI and I are debating ordering these for the candy table.

  • Do you have a theme for your wedding?

Candy corn for a fall/country wedding.

Salt Water Taffy if you're by the ocean.

Gummy bears if the environment is temperature controlled.

Hershey Kisses just because they are yummy.
