Reasonably priced photographer??

Hi ladies!  I am having an Indian wedding in Newport next June and I was wondering if you had any recommendations on a reasonably priced photographer?  I have done some looking and it seems that most I have come across are way out of my budget ($5000+).  I am looking for someone who has a creative eye but won't cost me an arm and a leg!  It would be nice to have someone who has photographed an Indian wedding before so they know what things to focus on, etc., however I am open to anyone who is experienced even if they have not done an Indian wedding.  I just want someone experienced, creative, reliable, and I can afford!  If they know anything about Indian culture would be a total bonus!  Any recs are much appreciated.

    I love my photographer Olivia Gird. I am not sure if she has done an Indian wedding before. She recently shot a Cambodian wedding--http://oliviagird.com/blog/?p=98. Good luck!

    Visual-Obsession from CT. They are going to India towards the end of this year to shoot an Indian wedding. They will be shooting our wedding which is a Cambodian-Chinese wedding and they have done a ton of ethnic weddings. No time limit (full day coverage) and unlimited photos plus TWO pro photographers. Pricing starts a little over 3 grand but that includes everything I listed above PLUS their version of a get to know you session which they call Night Escapade. Check out their recent work. I absolutely love these guys. Their edgy artistic style combined with their awesome lighting technique is really impressive.

    If they are not available, try Lisa Rigby. She has shot Indian weddings including a recent one at Colt State park in Bristol, R.I. I believer her package starts at $3800 but she offers unlimited coverage too. Love her creative and photojournalistic style as well.

    Pamela Bhatia Photography.  I was just at an Indian wedding she did (Deepti and Nik) if you go to her blog or her facebook page.  And she is doing another set of friends at a Newport wedding on Labor day, I am not using her, both both of these ladies swear by her (both have traditional Indian ceremonies).  She does both traditional and indian weddings, I think her husband is Indian. 

    I am using Sabrina Scolari photography, I don't know if she has ever done an Indian ceremony, but I know she has packages that start under 2k and go up to 8k.

    I am using mike frome http://www.amekimphoto.com he is awesome and will do anything you tell him to do and his prices are average $2000 some lower and some higher, but I don't think they go over $3000. GL

    MKD Photography just did an Indian Wedding.

    Did you look at Melissa Robotti? 

    Also Karin Dailey?

    I am using Portrait New England, they cover all of New England. They are really creative and they do great candids. I'm not sure if they have done an Indian wedding before but they did mention having done several ethnically diverse weddings (whatever that means). I am just really excited to be using them because their prices are much lower than everyone I have looked into but their quality is on the same level, at least.

    Cregg Annarino out of the Providence area is amazing. He is soo reasonably prices (packages start at $3800) and has lots of options. He is the master at lighting!

    Shawn Michaels photography on warwick ave! He has done a bunch of my friends weddings.... and he is doing my destination wedding next june! he is VERY reasonable and he is sooo awesome! check out his studio in warwick!
