  I would be careful about rallying behind one person for mod. Not because I don't think she deserves it, but because when they were trying to get a mod for PS the TK Powers That Be purposely overlooked the person everyone wanted to be mod. They felt like someone that well liked would have a hard time being objective. That board had a serious clique issue so I am not sure if it would matter as much here but I thought I'd warn you just the same. 

  
  

  The best bet is to ask another board mod how they contacted the TK gods and go directly to them.

  We have already had them contacted via another mod a few weeks ago. If I don't get it that's fine, they will do what is right for them and the board, but we need someone in the position with a board as active as ours incase...

  Hey BMcLeod, I am pretty sure Knottie Annie left, I remember posting her goodbye on E. She said that Knottie Kathleen would be handling all of the Mod issues and to email her at moderators@theknot.com. Hope this helps!
