Ireland trip review (pips)

I've posted here a few times about an anniversary trip we took early Oct to Ireland. There are so many great deals to travel there right now that I wanted toshare.  Ireland far exceeded all of my expectations and I would highly recommend for a HM if you're looking for a non-beach trip.

We traveleled with another couple and booked our trip as a Sceptre Tour package via Travelzoo.  We flew out of Chicago (direct flight), upgraded the manual economy car to a fullsize automatic, got 7 nights hotel and car insurance for ~$1100/person.  In addition to that, while there, we spend roughly another $1200 total for food/drinks/sites/gifts/gas for the 2 of us (we drank moderately to heavy at night :O)

If you have any interest or questions, please let me know!

[QUOTE]I'm still trying to find a honeymoon spot for early October (my wedding will be October 4). How was the weather? I've heard it's very cold in October, but then again I think 60 degrees is cold :-P

Ha, then it may be too cold for you.  I should post a recap about money/weather/clothing.  It was mainly in the high 50s and low 60s.  The majority of the time I was fine with jeans/boots/long-sleeves and a scarf.  A few times I'd put a blazer or jacket on too.  We thought the weather was pretty enjoyable though
