alterations

Does anyone know where I can go to get my dress hemmed and a bustle put in other than David's Bridal? I bought my dress there and it is where my girls got their dresses and up until now they have been great but I had a bad experience with them today on the phone and I just don't want to go to them now. TIA!

We went to Kim Dao alterations in downtown Cincinnati.  I got 3 quotes and she was the most affordable, and I loved her French bustle and hem she did on my chapel-length train.

  • My dress is from Wendy's in Reading and I'm having my alterations there as well. Page is my seamstress she's amazing!
  • I am having my dress altered at AMKOR dry cleaning in Florence. The owner's name is Jean and she has worked at Dillards for 20 years in the women's department. I love her and she is a perfectionist.
  • Toni at Alterations by Toni is amazing, and reasonably priced. Located in madeira.
  • Stitches by Pauline is AMAZING!

She is super sweet and the most affordable alterations I had found. She did my sisters wedding dress and is doing my wedding dress as we speak! She also does my "street alterations" on jeans and stuff like that.

Just to get an idea- she added padded bra cups, sweetheart neckline, and a unique a-symmetrical bustle (fits my dress great and she came up with it!), tightened up the dress in the waist and top at the zipper and it was only $100 including a steaming of the underfabric.
