I had my hair trial today :-) My stylist is such a champ. My hair is relatively short (just shy of shoulder length) and did not grow as much/fast as we had hoped. I wanted a low messy bun look for the wedding, but it just isn't going to happen. She worked on my hair for a good 2 hours to try and figure out a way that I can still have a loose updo and did an amazing job! Since it was just a trial she didn't lather my hair in hairspray or reinforce it with as many bobby pins as she will on the day of (hence the slightly messy look), but I wanted to show you ladies anyway :-) The first picture is just one of me so you guys get an idea of the length of hair she had to work with.
This is what we came up with! It's messier than it will be day of, but it gives you a good idea of what it will look like. For some reason I forgot to take a picture from the side :-(
