Noritake Colorwave colors

HI all,

I remember reading that quite a few of you registered for the Noritake Colorwave line of dinnerware. I have just about settled on choosing this line and have a question about the colors: The graphite looks dark gray in some photos and black in others. SImilarly, the raspberry looks bright red in some and a more muted reddish/pinkish color in others.

I don't live in the States so I can't go to a store to see... would any of you be able to advise me on the colours? Is it that they really are a different tone of gray or red depending on if you get the rimmed plates or not?

    I have the graphite and it looks pretty much like the graphite from a pencil.  It's dark, dark, dark grey, almost black, but not really a bold black.

    Thanks Panda! I think i will go with the chocolate brown for safety, as I'm not a big fan of the black/almost black, and the brown will go better with the blue and green, i think. I have decided against the raspberry just in case it comes out bright red!
