E-pic Location

We want the photos to be near the water and were thinking maybe downtown somewhere...any ideas?

I was thinking maybe the open area near Pier 5?  We aren't glued to the city but would like to stay within the city/greater Hunt Valley area.

TIA!

We did Fells Point and absolutely loved them.  We also considered Ft. McHenry and Federal Hill Park.  I think we're going to do out TTD pics at Fed Hill Park.

Who is your photog?  Make sure you check with them for suggestions, as well.  Works out well when your photog really knows the area, we lucked out on that one beacuse Jenni knew all her favorite spots that we never would have thought of.  They turned out great.  Pics in my bio.

Our photographer took us to the area directly across the harbor from Pier 5, I think it's the walkway behind those Ritz-Carlton residences? That was nice because it wasn't crowded and you can get a some of the typical Baltimore skyline in the background (like the pavilion, aquarium, Hard Rock building).

Thanks for the suggestions, ladies!  I am working out the details via phone this afternoon so I will see what photog suggests (Gary Michelle).

SweetC - your epics were awesome!! I just might have to steal some ideas :)  Also...I peeked through the rest of your bio, my FI is also a mechanical engineer.  He used to work at Aberdeen and is in the process of transferring back up there!

I agree with SweetCFly.  If I took my e-pics in the city I would have done Fells Point.  There are just so many different places to get pictures at there, and her's turned out fantastic!

Ashley42410 I think the areas of Fells Point and Fed Hill are great. I am using Renee Michele and her husband is Gary Michele. We loved working with Renee Michele on Monday! She was great!

Not exactly near Hunt Valeey - but not horribley far, is downtown Annapolis. That is where we are doing outs next month.

I'm another one who did e-pics in Fells Point. I'd be happy to send you a link if you'd like to see them.

Fells was our top choice for location because that's actually where we got engaged. But the pictures turned out great so I'm extra glad we did it there.

Thanks ladies!! The tentative plan for now is to start in Fells and grab some pictures at sunrise! I'm so excited...we're doing them in 2 weeks.  I'll keep you all posted!

A friend of mine used Gary and Rene Michelle for her wedding in May '09.  They got married at the Frederick Douglass-Isaac Myers Maritime Museum in Fells, and she got ready at the Admiral Fell Inn in Fells.  She had all her pictures with her girls taken in Fells Point and they were awesome!  So Gary definitely knows the Fells point area and how to utilize it.  :)

I am a little late.... I too had my e-pics at Fells Point (I used the same photographer as sweetfly, pics are in my bio).  I got married at Pier 5 in June so we have pics in that area as well.

I think both locations are great!  Since I have done them both, in my opinion, I would go with the harbor around Pier 5.  You have shots of the water, garden, you can get shots on the lighthouse, you have the option of going into hotels, rest, stores.  But thats just my opinion.  I think you actually have more to work with down there.  We were going to take our e pics there but since we were getting married there we did fells point and federal hill.

Both locations are great spots to take pictures and you'll get amazing photos no matter where you go!  I am glad I did fells but if I had to pick only one, it would be the harbor - but that's more my style.  Good Luck!
