Fourth Anniversary 100 Comments
in New York-Hudson Valley
I'm getting married October 21, 2011 at the Pearl River Hilton.  We are looking for a DJ, pianist, Photographer and Florist now.  I've only lived in Rockland County for 3 years and I am the first of friends to get married, so I don't have any referrals.  Any recomendations?  Good and bad!

    Hey! I'm originally from Rockland and got married in Westchester here's who I used:

    Photographer - David Mielcarek - http://cinematicbydavidm.com - He was AMAZING. I really can't recommend him enough, we still get compliments on how great his work was.

    DJ - Brian Swatek - http://www.djbriswatek.com/ - He looks a little goofy in his photo, but he really knows his stuff. He's a big music nerd and gets very excited when he talks about it work. He had our floor full the whole night and he was affordable. Very glad we went with him over one of the larger entertainment companies.

    Flovers - Forever in Bloom (Dean) - http://www.foreverinbloomonline.com/ - When I say this was the easiest of my vendors to work with, I'm not lying. Of all the people we met with, I had my pictures that I printed out and brought with me, described what I wanted, and Dean immediately figured out my vision and gave us exactly what we wanted. He worked with us on price and was a really really great guy. I wish we had a reason to work with him more often.

    Florist - I am using Pearl River Florist and love them!!  THey have been wonderful to work with and so helpful when I was deciding what i wanted to have for my bouquets and centerpieces.  I am not a big flower person, so they were able to give me suggestions without being pushy.  I definitely recommend them!!!!

    Florist - we met with Pearl River Florist but I felt like she could care less about what I was looking for and just wanted us to pick from the book. I brought in a picture of a centerpiece I loved, and all the lady said was: "I don't know what's in that, can't do it." Gee thanks.

    We used DJ Bri last October.  LOVED him!  We had a few issues with the intros but wasnt all his fault.  He did have everyone dancing ALL night at our wedding too...including during dinner and the ages were from 2 1/2 to 80.   He was around 1000 and totally worth every penny.  I agree with PP

    Photographer:  Nick Carter Photography in New Rochelle:: Very much a sweet heart, beautiful photos & Great Prices
    DJ: The DJ Company in Nyack, NY:: Very accomodating, Very Reasonable Prices and a Very Packed Dance Floor
    Pianist:  Dont Know:: check out www.gigmasters.com; OR ask you DJ

    I am using Ricky Restiano for photography, he's in bronxville & truly AMAZING!!!

    Flowers: Monica Chimes Floral, they are in the White Plains area..talk about getting what you pay for!!!   The staff can't help you enough & show you samples of almost everything!!! My friend used them...another AMAZING one!!  They are on The Knot!

    DJ:  Dance time DJ's  They are in Dobbs Ferry.  The guys name is Jamie there....he's awesome!  They will keep your dance floor filled all night long!!!

    DJ - Eric Lugo...  elugo19@yahoo.com he works with some other companies as well, but we used him directly since he did a friends wedding, he is great and know how to keep everyone dancing, not cheesey at all!

    Photography - stacey ilyse from stacey ilyse photography http://www.staceyilysephotography.com she was amazing.. and so sweet too

    Flowers - the little flower shoppe in ridgewood nj... They are awesome and everything looked beautiful and elegant.

    DJ - Another bride here who used DJ Bri! He was wonderful!

    Photo - We used Majestic Studios for photo and video.
