HOw much time do you get off from work? Do you use it all before the end of the year?

My last job I was up to 5 weeks, it increases on your annual eval. It can also roll over to the next year, when I left I had 5.5 weeks bc I didn't take it all. My new job I will have 6 weeks, and it does not roll over so I will be taking it all.

I get 3 weeks vacation/personal time. If I don't use it I lose it. No pay out option & it doesn't roll over, so I try to use it all before the end of the year.

I work for myself, so I can take time off as needed/wanted. That's one of the great things about being your own boss

As of now I have about 3 weeks. We also earn one extra day for every year we've worked for the company.

We're allowed to roll over our vacation time but I don't usually have any left. We close between Christmas and New Years so whatever days aren't covered by stat has to be covered by vacation pay.

2 weeks of vacation every year up until i've been there 10 years, then it will increase to 3 weeks vacation. I've been there over 6 years so I have a little wait yet to get that third week. However, in the winter time its our slow season within our business, so we have an unpaid break for 2-3 months, therefore I have to plan ahead throughout the year financially to prepare myself for that time off.

I am a teacher, so I have summers off from school. In addition to that we get three personal days and earn half of a sick day every two weeks. What we don't use by the end of the year rolls over to the next school year. I'm going to have to use some of my sick days for the honeymoon! It's just my luck that our week long fall break got scheduled for the week BEFORE the wedding instead of after
