June 2012 Weddings

Hopeful

The weather in Knoxville today is sunny and 75. That is definitely unheard of for the beginning of June. I've been worrying about our outside wedding on June 24.  I'm praying/hoping we can have some great weather like this instead of 88 and HOT.

Re: Hopeful

  • It was 90 degrees here on Monday, but today it's about 65. At this point I've given up trying to predict the weather and turned to just hopes and prayers.
  • It's the summer, it's probably going to be hot at some point during the day. (I did not want to get married any time even near summer and obviously I lost that discussion) Just work with it as best as you can.

I'm more concerned about my honeymoon weather. I bought all these summer clothes and planned on taking a bit of everything. I bought new dresses, summer tops, shorts, etc. Well I just checked out weather.com and Ireland is going to be COLD! So I have just spent all my shower gift cards on clothes I won't even be able to take. :/

  • Tylee, could you get a nice cardigan to bring with you?  My FI went to Scotland last summer and he said it wasn't too bad if you wore shorts.  Maybe you could wear some of the clothes you bought.  We're headed to London, so I know what you mean.

I do have lots of cardigans actually! :) I love them. I plan on taking each different colored one I have but I don't know if that will be warm enough. I'm just nervous that I'll get there and have to resort to wearing jeans and the one coat I plan on bringing with me for all 12 days. :/

Congrats on London! I've always wanted to go there as well.

  • We live in southern New Mexico and the weather has been around 95 degrees for the last couple of weeks. Since that is often the normal around here that is why we decided on an indoor wedding. We would have loved something outside for the natural beauty but it just wasn't possible. Now I'm just hoping the venue doesn't have any air conditioner problems the day of the wedding lol

  • It's actually kinda cool here today.  If it was in the lower 70s and no rain I'd LOVE it for the wedding.  However, it's MI so it can be 90 one day and 50 the next.

  • I've pretty much accepted that it's going to more than likely be at least 90 on our wedding day. Luckily, our guests won't be outside until dinner around 7:15, so it should have cooled off a bit by then. C'est la vie.
  • I have been reading the average weather for my wedding date (June 23) in Natchez MS. Looks like the temperature for my outdoor wedding ceremony ought to be lower to mid 80s. Perhaps there will be a slight breeze if we get lucky :)
  • we are in canada...our ceremony is outdoors and im praying for no rain..weather here in the last couple years has been unpredictable...just crazy.....so pray for me that there's no rain!!!!
