Yesterday was my second dress fitting. I've been so nervous about my dress. A bit of back story. Basically, my mom came up with the idea that a two-piece dress would be easier to work with than a regular dress with my wheelchair. So our coordinator suggested this bridal salon nearby that she had an existing relationship with and felt confident they could help. They helped me pick the perfect gown, ordered the bodice detached from the skirt, and then they would finish the edges and fit. Cue first fitting we got everything set and did measurements (my near deathly bout of pneumonia in the spring cost me a lot of weight so it was way too big). Yesterday was the first time I tried it on as a fully finished two piece. They used velcro to hold the bodice to the skirt so it has the finished look of a one-piece. I saw myself truly as a bride for the first time, never have loved a garment so much, and the reality that we have 31 days to go is hitting me. Here are some pictures! One more fitting on 10/5 to make sure the hem is enough to not hit the front tires.
