flowers in your bouquet

I am wondering if you have all the same type of flower or a bunch of different ones? I was going to do a few different but the last few weddings I have seen on TV the brides have all the same type of flower in their bouquets. Just curious as to what yours is like.

I'm going to meet with a florist tomorrow and I'm thinknig the same thing. I like how some bouquets with all different flowers gives it a lot of interest and textures. But I'm also a fan of all one flowers like garden roses, hydrangea and carnations, because the flower type gives it so much body and it looks nice and uniform.

It's a toughy...

I had all white flowers but several different kinds. Roses, mini-carnations, alstroemeria (small lilies). baby's breath. I also had some greenery to set off the flowers. There are no 'rules' so do whatever you like for your own.

It is just whatever you like. I originally wanted my bouquet to be all one flower-white asiatic liilies, but when I saw what it would look like, I decided it would be too much white with my dress, and I added in some pale blue hydrangeas (my wedding is in December) and now I love it!!!!

Its totally your preference and style. I want a lot of texture and color, so I am having a bright bouquet with mango rust calla lillies, yellow cymbidium orchids, orange/red protea pincushions and red freesia with some greenery. The protea pincushions are really fun and unique. I never thought I'd get so excited about flowers but after meeting with my florist, I am so excited and LOVE the flowers we chose.

I had about 15 different things in my bouquet, all different shades of green. I wanted textures and plants, because I'm allergic to most flowers. Do whatever you want to do, bouquets look beautiful either way.

It is all personal taste. I wanted an all white bouquet and had daisies and white lisianthus.

Something else to think about is whether you want a rounded bouquet (or as I call it, a ball of flowers on a stick) or one that looks more natrual.

I got a really cool silk arrangement off of etsy. The lady was super sweet, and worked closely with me to get the look just right.

We ended up making a red rose bouquet with miniature white callas. Not in my wedding colors, not coordinated with anything, but I love em and it's my wedding so I decided to just do it

I have seen really beautiful bouquets done both ways. Talk to your florist about what you like and what you can afford. They should be able to show you examples and offer suggestions.

i am going to have different ones i am going to have a tough decision on which ones to put into it. my mom works at a cut flower warehouse, i am going to choose which flowers i want to use for the entire wedding and give to ideas to the lady who is putting it together for me and let her decide which ones. she has been making boquets and display pieces for about 20 years now.
