Corsair and Cross Rip Oceanfront Resort

I was thinking of having my wedding at the Corsair and Cross Rip Oceanfront Resort and I was wondering if anybody has had their wedding there and how was it?

Re: Corsair and Cross Rip Oceanfront Resort

  • Have you had a chance to take a look at it? I went and got the full tour and in my mind there were a lot of positives - ceremony overlooking the water, rental house as part of the package, everything packaged all together, etc.  However in the end we decided it just wasn't for us.  While we loved the spot by the water it felt pretty cramped, as did the backyard where the reception would be held. And we loved the idea of having a house rental but we wanted the house for the week after the wedding, not the week before.

I know a friend of a friend who got married there and loved it, but definitely talk to the guy in depth about the details!

  • I haven't looked at it yet but thanks for the information.
  • Of course! I ended up at the Cape Cod Museum of Art, also in Dennis. Still in planning mode (Date is June 16th, 2012) but so far Abigail has been lovely.
  • I agree with everything Maureen said! I had looked at the website/pictures and fell in love with it. It is literally righta cross the street from the beach and there were so many pros. However when we got there I saw a wedding set up and I was shocked how small the space was and how tight it looks.
  • Thanks. I'm looking to have no more then 50 people so it might work out.
  • ECAngel0324- Have you looked into it at all? My parents and I are planning on driving down there this weekend (we already called and no one will be around, but we just want to take a peek). We are planning on having no more than 100, and it looks like the perfect place for a low key beach weekend wedding :)
  • I haven't looked at the place yet. I was planning on going up in June to check out the place and see how the weather is. I was planning on having no more then 50 cause it be destination and we want it low key. Let me know what you think of the place.
  • Although it was a gray, cold, rainy March day- I could truly picture my wedding there. The motel looks like its had some great renovations outside: new balconys for each room, and windows. The actual grass area for the ceremony is a little small, but for 50 people certainly do-able (I even think I'd be okay with it with 100). You can't beat the location b/c you are litterally standing above the ocean and can hear the waves coming in and out. Also if you time it right, you can get married right on the sand, if thats your style :)

The site for the reception is across the street (and by street its a tiny dead end road so the only traffic is people staying in the area) behind one of the houses, and although I know some people say it looked cramped, I think for the amount of ppl either of us want it would be just fine. Of course- we have not gotten any price quotes from them yet while will obviously impact my decision. However it seems to be that you can either do it all yourself, or pay them to take care of everything. Have you talked to them at all? We are thinking about spending a night there this summer to see how it all goes :)
  • I sent them an email a few months ago asking about more information. They said for a wedding my size they recommend doing it in one of the houses. They said all they charge me is for the house and they help out with getting the vendors. I figured when I go up to look I get a better idea of everything. Thanks for the information and I was thinking of spending a few days at the place to see how it is too.
