Hillary,

I don't know if you missed my post in your welcome thread or not! I am from Scranton, PA though and getting married on June 9th!

Where is your ceremony & reception being held?!

I must have missed it or just read through too fast.

I am getting married at Our Lady of Snows in Clarks Green and the reception is at Via Appia. How about you?

Or is it in Clarks summit yea I think OLS is Clarks Summit and Via Appia is in Taylor.

I am from Wilson (Easton area). FI is Catholic and went to Abington.

We are both 23 so maybe you know eachother how random would that be!!!

Our ceremony and reception is at The Inne at the Abingtons in Clarks Summit! FI and I grew up Catholic as well but we wanted an outside ceremony and the Catholic church was not willing to do that so we found an non denominational officiant to do our ceremony but she will still incorporate some Catholic stuff into it.

We are little older than your FI. I'm 28 and he is 30 so I don't think I would know him but it would be funny if we did!! I grew up in Scranton and went to Catholic school. FI grew up in Taylor, PA (right down the road from Via Appia!) and also went to a Catholic school in his town.

Do you have all of your vendors set? Via Appia is beautiful inside and the food when I was there for a charity benefit was amazing. We considered Via Appia ourselves but I think we declined because we wanted the outside ceremony and reception at the same location and they couldnt accomodate that.

We have almost all our vendors set that I can think of because we just moved to Virginia we were trying to get everything set as early as possible. We are going to Sanderson hair salon for the bridal party hair and makeup.

Manooka bakery comes with the package at via appia for the cake (BTW, they have great deals that include plated dinner, open bar, and cake!).

We are using McCarthy flowers for all the floral arrangements.

We are staying at The Marriott near Via Appia. We are not having any trnasportion except what is provided from the hotel. This is a shuttle to and from the hotel to Via Appia.

We are having a band called Swift Technique play at our reception.

Thats all I can think of and remember right now!

We are also going to be at The Marriott!!! My FI is friend's w/the manager, John! They don't normally provide shuttles to the Inne but because they are friends he said he would do it for us so we blocked our rooms there! It's in the perfect area as well since my wedding isn't until the evening if my guests are bored the mall and movie theater are right there. Maybe I will see you there! I'm staying there Friday & Saturday nights! (June 8th & 9th!)

We are using Creative Cakes for our cake because it was included in our package as well.

I'm having my hair and makeup done at Lavish in downtown Scranton. My long time hair stylist works there so I had to go to her for my wedding day hair:)

We are also using McCarthy's for our flowers. They had the best deals for a florist by far!!
