Hi! I had the most perfect wedding day and wanted to share my vendors with you!
(In no particular order)
Nathan, Marisa and their associate Steven were wonderful! Nathan was stuck out of state due to weather, but thankfully they covered the time he was gone with an associate Steven. Even though the day was hot and windy, Marisa, Steven and Nathan (when he arrived) continued to be professional and we had a ton of fun. They put up a slideshow during the reception and I was able to check out some of the pictures and they were absolutely amazing! They are some of the most talented photographers I have met and am glad to be writing this review about them! Imagen has an associate package now, if anyone is looking for photos that are inexpensive. All of the photographers that work with Imagen are talented, professional and fun people.
John and his assistant for the evening Aron, were also amazing! John was the only DJ we met with and we knew they were going to be great by our first impression. We talked a few times from our contract signing up until a few days before the wedding. We talked a couple days beforehand and went over all the important songs and timing for everything. John really knew how to get the crowd going. The dance floor was never empty and everyone kept saying to us "your DJ's are awesome". We had a ton of fun with them as well and are so glad we booked them. They offer a referral discount whenever you refer someone to them, you and the person you refer save $50!
Hall: Bethlen Hall of the First Hungarian Reformed Church in Walton Hills
Everything about the hall was great. We didn't have to set up or clean up and the food was delicious! The food is all homemade which makes it wonderful. The prices were pretty reasonable as well.
Baraona's is delicious! They have all kinds of frostings, fillings and they will make any design of cake you would like. They were also more affordable than the other bakery's we visited.
We didn't have any problems with the limo company. Our limo arrived early and got us to all of our destinations on time and accurately. Our bus was the one we picked out and very spacious.
Flowers: Novak's Flower Shop, Maple Heights Ohio
While we had a snafu with the flowers (the color we picked out, did not come in correctly) they did all they could to pick another color that complimented the girls dresses and other flowers in the bouquets. We got all of our bouquets, bouts, and 27 tables with centerpieces at the hall for a reasonable price.
I went to pick out my wedding dress a little over a year before my wedding, which probably wasn't the best idea. But, I decided to go anyways and found a dress I loved a lot. Mori Lee #6303. The ladies at the shop, particularly, Melissa, was very helpful, and kind. Unfortunately, I wish they would have told me to wait a while before I actually purchased the dress. They are a small shop, but they had a decent amount of dresses to choose from. Overall, my experience was good, I just wish they would have told me to wait.
Specialty Bra Shop: Next to Me,
www.nexttomeintimateapparel.com. This store was recommended to us by a friend of my Mom's. I am very disproportioned in that area, therefore needing a special size bra for my big day. My Mom and I went there, with my first dress and tried it on with the "Bra Expert" Mary. She honestly told me that my dress I currently had would not fit with the correct size bra I needed. She said she knew a seamstress that could add fabric and move everything around to make it fit. I decided that would be too much work (4 weeks before my wedding) and decided to search for a new dress.
Dress #2: Galleria Gowns,
www.galleriagowns.net. This shop was recommended by Mary (from above review). We headed over there and found a new dress, thankfully on the sale rack. I went there every week up unti the wedding for fittings. The family that owns and operates the shop is wonderful. They understood my situation and were so kind and caring. The alterations turned out perfect and I ended up loving my new dress more than the first. This dress is PC Mary's #8511.
Honeymoon: Melia Caribe Tropical Resort, Dominican Republic
Our travel agent Diane from Big Sky Travel,
www.travelbybigsky.com, was so much help. We met with her one afternoon and within a couple of hours she had a list of about 10 resorts for us to research. She spelled out all the names, so we could accurately look them up. Unfortunately, the resort we picked was inaccurately described on
www.applevacations.com. Our resort was said to have 13 pools (it had 2), 10 restaurants (it had 7, that you needed to make a reservation for, but they were always booked). So, we were stuck eating buffet food every meal except 1 for 7 days in a row. I will NEVER eat buffet food again. While, the 2 pools were nice, it would have been better to see more. Diane, made sure the honeymoon package was included on our reservation. Unfortunately, again, the honeymoon package was non-existent, all we received was a towel shaped like a heart with flowers on it, 1 day. When we got to the hotel, Apple Vacations apparently cancelled our reservation, so we had to sit and wait for the concierge, to figure things out, then we had to wait another hour for our room to be ready. Overall, it was a bad experience. Therefore, I would not recommend the Melia Caribe Tropical Hotel, there are plenty more resorts there to choose from.
Overall, our wedding was PERFECT! I hope these reviews help the brides out there currently planning! Feel free to email me with any questions at: jenya724@yahoo.com
