Hey all, 
I'm a local lady getting married in May of 2013. We have a pretty low budget, but want to splurge on a nice dinner (not really a rehersal dinner, but close enough) for all the friends and family who are helping us out. I was wondering if anyone had any experience dealing with Calcasieu, the private dining Donald Link place or, alternately, any suggestions for other places We want it to be fancy but not too horribly expensive (There will probably be around 20 people, so that kind of limits us).

    They were on our list for possible rehearsal dinner spaces.  Their menus were priced between $48 and 65 for a plated dinner.  Love the food!  But not sure we want to have to transport people over there.  I think it would definitely be a treat for guests.

    i'm having my rehersal dinner there next week. the service has been nothing short of impeccable thus far, but i'll be sure to update post wedding.

    Calcasieu will be a great treat for your guests and a wonderful intro to new Orleans food for oot guests. Ask for Christa when you call. She's amazing and very professional.
