  Pinot - My picture was taken at some small lake in Kananaskis (half way between calgary and banff, ab).  we went for a picnic a few weeks ago.  It's our favorite little spot   Here's an aerial picture I found on the interwebz.  We were just at that middle spot on the tip.

  Do it!  We can have a GTG if you come near the Banff/Calgary area.  What's your email?  I'll send you some more banff area photos if you like.  Banff is only about 70 minutes from Calgary.  Moose and I could both give you lots of awesome recs for the area. 
  
  We did a big mountain road trip for our honeymoon last year.  It was pretty amazing so I have lots of photos.
