Avon Irish Cultural Center

My fiance and I are headed up there today to check it out.  I think it might be a top contender right now for our reception. The price is great.  The pictures looked good.  The people have seemed very nice.  Does anyone have any thoughts on this place.... good or bad? Let me know!!

    It's now Ahern's Catering (or Banquet) Center,   formerly the Irish Heritage Center (The IH Club is still there-  but they sold the property to Ahern, who has been the caterer for 10+ years there).  Since Tony has taken over, they have renovated the hall (it looks great!).  I have been to many many receptions and parties there, and it's always been great.   The food is really good, and  the service is phenomenal.  There is some chicken that they have that is amazing!   One really nice feature-  if you don't wish to take all of your leftover food home with you, they will donate it to a charity so it will be consumed that night or the next day instead of going to waste.  Another option is St. Clarence Pavillion- which also uses Ahern's Catering.

    We had our wedding there last year and it was great. Service was wonderful and if you have ANY questions before you can easily contact them. The food was AMAZING and we liked it because we could bring in our own alcohol. I HIGHILY recommend it!!!

    We booked the hall for our wedding next summer and we were really excited to find it!  We have heard nothing but good things about it, which is great considering the value.  I was really impressed with all of the remodeling of the hall (we booked the larger room) because it is so neutral in color, we don't even have to get chair covers. Other places we went to had mauve and hunter green decor and were over priced on top of it!

    Would you mind telling us about how much per person the alcohol was?  We are trying to figure out what the price will be!!

    I went to my friends wedding there in September and had a great time!  The place was very nice!
