Ana's Bridal & Tea Length Gowns

I'm searching for a tea length wedding gown and finding that not many stores have them.  So my first question would be, does anyone have suggestions as to bridal stores?

Second, my first bridal appointment is at Ana's Bridal in East Providence.  Has anyone had any luck with them?

Thanks!

Re: Ana's Bridal & Tea Length Gowns

  • My Sincere advice is to stay away from Ana's bridal..several friends experienced a nightmare with them! There reviews on wedding wire also speak for itself. Try allegria bridal in MA...I had a great experience with them!
  • My first BM appointment was at Ana's and she was very rude. It was the first time we had even started looking at dresses and all my girls weren't even there which we told her at the beginning so we weren't planning on purchasing. She didn't help us look, get them into the dresses(like using clips so the dresses didn't fall off of them) I had to do it. I would try Wishing Well in Rumford, I bought my dress there and will go back for my BM dresses and FMIL's dress. They were great, so friendly and accommodating.

  • I have had been extremely pleased with my experience at Alexandra's in Fall River, they have a wide selection of gowns and I am sure they have tea length. Have fun!
  • I agree with everyone, stay away from Ana's! They are rude and don't help you with anything. It's also really small in there and it can get packed and then no one can move which then makes looking at dresses even harder and worse. I would look somewhere else. Try looking at party dress express in Fall River, I know a lot of people who have gone there and been very pleased.

  • I don't have good thigns to say about Ana's and alhtough I found a dress I liked there, I ended up buying my dress from another store that sold the same vendor.

I would suggest going down the Road to Helen's. I worked with Ashley there and she was awesome! She made me feel so comfortable.

I also second going to Alexandra's. when I was there a girl was trying ona  tea length gown.

Perhaps you should browse tea length gowns you like online and then find stores that sell those vendors, that might be the easiest thing. Also, many fuller gowns could be cut down to tea length.
  • I, too, had a really bad experience with Ana's. The one good thing I will say about them is that their wedding dress samples come in a variety of sizes. Even plus size. So you can actually see what it will look like. One example of my bad experience was that they ordered me the wrong veil TWICE!!!! And never apologized for the inconvenience. There are other examples but too lengthy to mention.
I will say, though, that two of my BMs got their wedding dresses from Ana's and had a good experience. I think, though, they're in the minority.

I actually have an appt there this Saturday. They carry all the designers I like and I've been there before as a bridesmaid for a 4 different weddings with no problems. And as far as I know, none of the brides had any issues either. I say give it a shot if they carry designers that you like. If you don't like them, you can always go somewhere else. They are having a sale next weekend too. I asked them about it and they are allowing me to get the deal this weekend since I already had my appt made and will be out of town next weekend.
  • I personally had a wonderful expereince at Ana's when my brother got married. My sister in law got her dress there and they were great.
However returning the tux's the guys rented was a mess. They called me (because my brother and SIL were on their honeymoon in Thialand) claiming we didn't return 2 ties, after a few hours of frantic searching and phone calls all the guys said they returned the ties. I went down to the store personally and the girls claimed they didn't have them. They let me look for myself and I found the ties, at the bottom of the garment bags they were in.

They are very small and very busy so the customer service lacks in some area's but they did a great job with alterations.
