STRESSED about flowers...

Who are you using for your flowers? Is anyone doing something besides flowers for centerpieces??  I'm trying to think of something other than flowers because they are so darn expensive.  The lantern idea is nice but won't go with the rest of the wedding... I need pinks and stuff.

I'm right on NC/SC border so Rock Hill or Charlotte area ideas are great!

Any ideas??

I'm doing paper flower bouquets for myself and my BMs. As far as centerpieces go, we're doing floating candles.

What about candles. . no lantern? Candles are classic and give off a great vibe, plus they're typically cheaper than flowers :o)

We did the flowers ourselves. We got them from Fresh Market. Our centerpieces consisted  of flowers in a quart mason jar and candles in pint mason jars. Would something like that work for you?

I got my flowers from Sam's Club. They were awesome and amazingly cheap!! I got 240 gerbera daisies for around $200!

I think the current issue of The Knot has all the DIY floral sites, plus hints on how to arrange the flowers yourself.  They included globalrose, rosesource, fiftyflowers, growersbox, proflowers and bridedesign. (All followed by dot com.)  I've also read good things about Sams and Costco on this site.

hi!! i was blown away by flower pricing- mine was WAY less than my mom and i were expecting! i'm using party blooms- wedding's is not until may, so i can't speak on  the final product...i have two friends who got married last spring/summer though and used her, flowers looked great and got them at a steal!

i agree with the sam's idea- and you may want to check costco too!

I too, am using Party Blooms (came in quite a bit lower than all of the other area estimates I received), for my April 2011 wedding.  And like Sarah, I have also been to a few weddings where she has done the flowers and they were great. She has also done some weddings at my venue that I saw pics of and they were great.  She's located in Charlotte -- might be worth a call at least if you want flowers!
