H stole my day off thunder

Ok, not really, but I told him he did since he just has to go in for the CFT today and then has off. I told him that I am watching girlie shows all day and drinking coffee so he has to deal because I planned my day first haha. 


That probably won't happen and we will probably do something together but I like getting on him for it.  As I've said before this is the first time in 4 years that I have taken a day off for no reason. All my other days off have been because I have appointments, or I'm traveling, etc. I have never taken a day off to sit at home and relax. That's how he stole my thunder haha. 

Also, I kind of wish I was going to the ball now tonight since I have a few friends going. Oh well.

What's everyone else up to?

    Good for you for taking a day with no intention other than to relax. When I worked for Starbucks we got two "free days" a year. We had vacation hours to use, but twice a year you could take a "mental health" day where you are still paid for having the day off, but it doesn't take away your vacation hours.
    Basically what you're doing. I'm glad to hear it! We all need a minibreak. :) Make H paint your nails for you while watching girly shows hahaha


    Today is PRT make up testing so H doesn't have to go into work. *sigh*. So he gets 4 days off while I go into school an hour early (... I should be getting ready right now) to finish up a presentation that's due today. Boo. But then a three day weekend with H so I really have no ground for complaining other than he gets to sleep in right now :o)

    We went to bed at 10 and slept in until about 8:30. It was great. He is gone now for CFT and then we have a 4 day weekend.  He leaves soon for a month long training exercise, booo!

    Just getting ready to go to work :) Finally got to talk to my hunny last night....gosh it's always nice to hear his voice. So I woke up in a much cheerier mood today than these past few days. I'm so grateful that it's almost the weekend too so that I can get paid and send him a box of congratulatory brownies. :D

    Hope your day goes well! It's always nice to have a "me" day, and if you haven't in four years...well it's been too long. Have fun with your H today! :)

    yay for sleeping in but boo for a month of him being gone :( Time to catch up on everything girly you could possibly do haha!

    Hey ladies!

    I just got done doing house chores, our new place is really starting to look like a home day by day. The only thing that isn't completely done is the guest room, we need to get a huge bookshelf for the millions of books we have, well not millions but we have tons. I have a doctor's appointment after lunch and H is at work right now. He actually checks in to division today since he's been doing indoc classes for almost 3 weeks now, so today he gets back into his actual job and duty days(boo!). I'm hoping that we still get the 3 day weekend and that he's off on Thanksgiving, hopefully his duty day falls some other day!

    Being jealous of you GG.  HA 

    I am at work and up to my ears in paper.  I guess the filing fairy did not come to my office last night as planned.  I must have a talk with her.  Tonight, I am going to cardio bosu class which is awesome and then working on yet another paper for school.  This masters is really cutting into my TV and fun time.  Oh and there is a possible skype date tonight with H if all goes as planned.

    I'm jealous. Of course I'm in college so I get to "sleep in" but I'm student teaching so not allowed.

    Truth: I miss school. I want to go back. I am such a dork. 

    Also: I just watched the video Stan posted and it made me tear up. Not even the Marine part obviously, but my love for Firemen too. Having a brother who is a firemen, who has been injured twice, anything about firemen gets me teary eyed. I'm such a soft heart sometimes.

    GG I'm still so jealous of you. Work is soooo slow today, it's like the day after Thanksgiving practically. And to top it OFF, H had pt this morning so he was all sitting around the house chilling aaaand they're having a cookout of sorts then the guys will probably all be cut out so he'll be home way early today. Boooooooooo.

    I miss school sometimes too. But just the attending classes part. I loved coming to class and listening to lectures, taking organized notes, and being part in discussions! I'm about to get ready for work since FI finally fell asleep (he has watch this week). Today is my Friday yay!

    I'm watching Say Yes to the Dress and there is a bride on there, except she's not a bride, does not know when her boyfriend is proposing  and if he is going to.

    I can get pre planning such as having an idea of where you would want your wedding,etc, but buying a wedding dress? Oh and they live together. So you come home with a dress, you can't tell him what it is. How does this make sense? I understand its their blow out sale, but still, c'mon.

    ooo0o I was going to ask if it was the blowout sale one. I mean, really. To me, that is so silly.....but I guess she got a good deal. Just hope she still likes it when/if he DOES propose.

    Um... I'm pretty sure that my H went to the ball on Wednesday night and has like the rest of the week off plus the weekend? I'm not sure since he's been sleeping and stuff.. but yeah.  Jerk.

    I am so mad.  I sent in my assignment last night for my online class and then it was like 9pm when I finally got to bed (Super late considering I got up at 3), Umm.. My teacher couldn't open it!  She said I have until tonight to re-upload it but that she's taking points off because it is technically late.  Grrrr...

    I start my final exam in one of my classes today, and of course this is the one day that my boss needed me to stay and work until 1:30.  My class starts at 1.  I emailed my teacher and he said it's fine, but it stresses me out because now I won't get as much time as everyone else!

    ETA: GG how did he do on his CFT?

    I took a 1/2 day recently, just because. 
    I wish I could take more.

    My friend's brother's now-FI bought her wedding dress a few years ago, when they were only dating. Lucky for her, he actually did eventually propose. That is just weird to me, I don't even care if it's some amazing sale. At the very least, what if you don't like the dress anymore when the wedding gets closer? And if your boyfriend finds out? That would put pressure on him, and make you look all kinds of crazy, IMO.
