Recommend your Florist

Hey ladies!

So the florist that I really wanted is already booked, so let me hear your suggestions! We're getting married in Downtown Raleigh, but I wouldn't be opposed to having someone outside of Raleigh (my mom lives in the Greensboro/High Point area), but I want to stick with the Triangle or Triad regions.

Thanks!

We used John Herron of Herron House (clicky) in Thomasville (High Point area).  He is incredibly creative and makes amazing arrangements. His prices were very reasonable and he was fun to work with.  Photos in my bio.  I wish we had some photos of the bouts, they were even amazing.

Fresh Affairs, def!  Is that who's booked??!?

    Otherwise, look at:
Victorian Seasons (Apex), Tre Bella (in Durham), The English Garden (Raleigh)

I haven't actually had my wedding yet, but Tre Bella, who we are working with, came highly recommened. My meeting with them was WAY better than the florist I met  with in Raleigh, and the prices are great. Tre Bella is one of the two florists I consistently see in Triangle "the knot real weddings" photos. Rachel had our estimate to us in less than 24 hours of meeting with her and it had everything I wanted. She even recommended a few alternatives to bring the prices down to our price range (her overall estimate was a couple hundred dollars over what we wanted to pay, compared to the 2000+ dollars over budget we were quoted elsewhere, and, so far, it looks like we're going to get everything we wanted). Good luck!

I second Victorian Seasons. Reasonably priced and very personable.

We are using Fresh Affairs, but if they are booked then I would suggest Tre Bella or Victorian Seasons like Meredith said.

Hey Kelsey--i think you're having your reception at The State Club, aren't you?  I am, too, and I'm using Tre Bella.  I agree with the posts above.   They are so nice.  After I met with them, I was really hoping the proposal was going to be in my budget because I wanted to work with someone that nice who also was on my wavelength.  Thankfully, their prices are very reasonable, too.

I also was going to talk to the folks at Flowers on Broad Street in Fuquay.  A good friend uses them for all her flowers and they're very good, too. They did an arrangment for an event that I had a couple of weeks ago and it was really gorgeous--exactly what I had asked for.  When I was interviewing florists, they were already booked for my wedding date.

    Good luck!!

Thanks everyone, I have lots of florists to look into now!

Barbara, we are having our reception at The State Club, we have our officially meeting with them on February 4th, but they've already penciled us in for the date!

</div><div>Flowers on Broad Street was pretty good. I met with them and for me it came down to them and Victorian Seasons. I went with VS because their price was lower and they were willing to do some things different for me. Flowers on Broad had a lot of great stuff though.

I don't live in that area and I'm not getting married in that are so I can't help with suggestions but I wanted to wish you luck!  The florist was the only thing I went off of pure recc's for.  I ended up having a consultation with the same florist who did my MOH's wedding and her 3 brothers' weddings.

Advice--take pictures of things you like :)
