help!!!

Hi everyone,

It's been awhile  but and hope everyone is well and weddings are coming along great. I need  advice on everything. Court house wedding, small chapel,  attire, casual restaurant dinner reception, etc.

I had put my wedding on hold due to moving across the country and now that I am settled we need to get some sort of ceremony planned and quick. I have about a month to do this.

I don't want to spend a lot so any suggestions on cheap but still  classy will do.

Anyone familiar w the Denver area???

You all are creative...what ideas do you have for me?

Re: help!!!

  • ALEIGHA!!!!

Its not quite in Denver, its in Lakewood. Its called Cafe Jordano.  Its been voted #1 for many years.  They do take reservations for parties 6 or more.

I am  not sure of any other really nice places.  Foca De Chow-its an endless meat place.  FI said it was the best meat he has ever had.  I am not much of a meat eater, so I can't say too much.  That is in Denver.

Try the Denver board or CO board. They may know more.  We went to the courthouse by our house but it wasn't classy.

Hope Parker has been treating you well!

I think of you time to time!
  • Jen,

Congrats to you and your hubby. You're married! I think of you as well. We need to get together! Fb or pm me.

We are living in Highlands Ranch. FI is working in Lakewood and is doing well with the new restaurant opening.

I still want to wear my wedding dress and I just don't think it's appropriate to wear it to the courthouse. I have been looking at small chapels and churches this morning but I think I am going to have to go in and take tours.

This will be interesting because I am going to call friends and family and say come if you want if not that's fine too.
  • So good to see your face around here again!!!

I wish I could help you more but I am in no way familiar with anything in Colorado. This may sound kind of odd but if you live in an apartment (or have any friends that do) you could see about renting out the clubhouse, decorating it, and holding a ceremony there.

  • If you still want a religious wedding, you can do the church version of the 'courthouse wedding'.  Having it in a church doesn't mean you have to invite a million people.  You can have it just be you, your fi, the minister, and depending on state a couple witnesses and/or family.

I'd advise seeing if you could find a restaurant that has a room you can reserve.  Not only will it be quieter, but sometimes they tend to spoil you a little bit depending on the restautant.
  • Aleigha-
    you have a PM!

  • The red rocks chapel is nice (and small), also try three trees (I think that is what it is called- it is off of C-470 and Bowles.  The views are amazing!

  • RR Chapel is kinda spendy

    Three Trees isn't bad.

I am totally planning your wedding and not working today. hehe

    idk what your budget is.
  • Foothills chapel looks good. I think I may go look at it tomorrow. And I don't mind the help planning because I am not great at it.
  • Good Luck, sorry I can't help much either, but it is good to have you back!

And who says you can't wear your dress to a court house.... You are getting married.
  • i'm with Alyssa! No help here on the area, but great to have you back and wear your wedding dress wherever you want to wear it!

  • Let us know how the foothills things looks.

I am envisioning your wedding right now. Yes, so much better than working.  Although, it is a little show today since a lot of students are done with finals.

Gosh, I should just be a wedding planner.
