potted herbs?

First, my wedding isnt until a few years, so I am just gathering ideas and such. But, me and my FI were thinking of maybe getting those really small planter pots and growing various herbs in them (ie, one has rosemary, another basil), ect. We both like cooking (and so do a lot of our friends), and it will most likely be an outside wedding.

What do you think of this idea? Or would most people not like them?

We are also planning on a small wedding, so we wouldn't need a lot of them.

    Herbs in a garden are easy to grow.  Herbs in a pot is trickier. I still haven't pulled it off.

    Thanks. Its why I'm thinking about it now - so I have time to practice :).
    I might get a few things to try and see how it goes, that way when I really start the planning, I'm not worrying if its going to work or not.

    I would leave it.  I cook a lot but to take something home, grow and use it, there is too much room for error.  If you choose to do this, I would only do one herb or you will probably have them picked over and a lot of one type left over.
