Avon, avon lake, westlake, north ridgeville, north olmsted

Hi ladies! Help me out if you can... we're looking to spend 20 or low 20's per plate in these areas... seems out of the question for 99% of the places Ive called in these areas. Do you know of any or have you used one? Right now Im down to Knights of Columbus in Avon or Rubys in Grafton.Yell

  • I thought St. Clarence in N. Olmsted was around $25/pp, but I could be wrong. Have you asked venues about changing the menu (perhaps heavy apps instead of full dinner? or switching to a brunch menu?) to bring costs down? Worth asking, anyway.

The Terrace at Big Met in Fairview Park is just-sub $20/pp, IIRC. If you have a smallish guest list (max 125?), check it out.

I don't know pricing, but maybe give a call to some of these, for other options: Puskas Outdoor Party Center in Lorain, Deluca's Place in the Park (Lorain), Rosewood Place (Lorain).

The Lorain County Fairgrounds rents out a building, but you need to supply your own caterer. Also, the VFW Hall in Avon Lake?

    Good luck!

  • My fiance and I just booked Rosewood Place in Lorain. They are 34.50 per plate but its ALL INCLUSIVE. No other fees, taxes, etc. You get 3 meats, 2 potatos, 2 veggies, salad, and bread. Everywhere else was charging seperate for everything. Bartenders, facility, gratuity, etc. Joel Smith is the owner and really easy to work with too.

  • We booked at the Fountain Bleu in Avon Lake. Our second choice was Ahern Banquet Hall.  Both places are just over $25 a plate, but it depends on which meal package you choose. I have been to receptions at Ruby's and it's very beautiful.  Good luck!

  • I have been to many events at Rubys and it is a very very nice space! I believe they allow you to bring in your own catering and alcohol (or atleast they did about a year ago), so that could make it very affordable. I would have gone with their venue if we did not have so many people, instead we went with Aherns. Good luck!
