budget wedding

Hello, recently engaged we are trying to find a venue that will cater to all our needs, for a Saturday wedding Oct 5,2013. i would really like a all inclusive but if not something within our budget, we would really like(need) to stay around $5000 for between 50-85 guests. we live in Mercer County NJ, we hope something nice in the Hamilton/Trenton/ Princeton/ Ewing/ Laurence / East & West Winsor/ Lambertville and New Hope, but we are willing to look  out a bit further as far as Doylestown (not more then a hour drive) all of family and friends are in the Mercer County area. Ive been trying to find something but im stressing my self out and about to throw in the towel

Thanks :)

Re: budget wedding

  • Our friends' had their wedding reception at Triumph Brewery in New Hope.  It's a very cool, modern space, good food and drinks.  We had the entire upstairs, one room for eating and one for dancing.  I don't know what they paid but i do know they were on a budget.   Might be worth a look!

</div><div>First of all, H and I live in Hamilton so I know the area you're coming from, although I didn't look too closely at Mercer County areas as originally I thought we'd be getting married at my grandmother's church in Camden County. Instead, we had our wedding in Lambertville, NJ for 80 guests in November and the reception by itself was $9k. This was for a Friday wedding, as their Friday & Sunday weddings were $20 less per head than Saturday weddings and only had a 50 guest minimum (Saturdays the minimum was 100). You may be better off looking for a lunch reception at a restaurant that may have a private room large enough for your needs. Mercer County, NJ area is very expensive and with the small wedding you will be having, you will be very limited in that a lot of "all inclusive" type places require you to have minimum 100, sometimes 125 guests on a Saturday night. I could see $5k for an "all inclusive" nice lunch at a restaurant, but not for the type of "all inclusive" wedding-type venue you may have in mind.
