Videographer

HI- I am looking for a videographer. It is really not in our budget, but I really want to have the wedding professionally videoed. I am not picky about editing, etc., and would like to spend as littel as possible (while still using a professional)

Any recommendations?

THANKS :)

An option may be to look for a film student at a local college or university. That's what we did, ended up paying $300, he had access to great equipment and mics. We're getting an edited video, a 5 minute highlight video, and the raw footage. The way I see it, we both got a great deal. He now has wedding experience to add to his portfolio and we have a good quality video that didn't cost an arm and a leg.

Scott Towers is pretty affordable but hadnt heard from him in a while and when he contacted me back i had put a deposit and met with another videographer. I am uing  John Demers he starts at $800 but I am paying $600 you can say you were referred by Mellie. We met with him , and viewed hiswork, and I havent found anything cheaper than him and Scott. I tried using a student but did not like the video looked choppy. I am not super picky but it is annoying seeing the camera move so fast from one spot to another.

We didn't have a budget really for a videographer but we contacted Scott Towers and he seems very flexible, friendly and laid back, which is totally FI's style (plus their techie talk) so he likes him a lot .  His responses to us have been quick and we are booking him for our June wedding.  He's quite affordable for what he's offering!

I second the college student idea.

We are just doing a borrowed camera on a tripod in the back of the ceremony, but that's what we are ok with. It sounds like you want something a little more than that.
