Hey ladies!

One of my good friends aunts is going to be preforming my ceremony and im not sure how much i should pay her.  She didnt give me a set amount to pay her she said its basically up to us as to what we can afford.  She did give my freind a range of $25-$100.  Does that sound in the ballpark for someone who doesnt nessicarily do this for a living?  I want to give her what is fair.

    I have officiated at a friend's wedding! Since I am a notary, I could only legally accept $20 but I offered to do it for free.
    As a thank you gift, they gave me a nice necklace and a photo from the wedding day of me with the new married couple.

    I am officiating two more weddings this spring for other friends! I think it's awesome that you are having your friend's aunt do that for you. :)

    bibi990- according to fl statute a notary cannot charge more than $20! It may be different if they also have a church affiliation.

    My temple doesn't charge but they accept a "love offering" I am also a notary and remember it was around $25

    My officiant is a really good friend of mine and we are giving her $50 plus a nice gift.
