Beach Dress for a big girl?

My FI and I think we will be getting married in Maui, so I want to wear a more beachy dress, but of course all of the light-weight, flowy beach styles don't really conceal my tummy or give me much of a waist. Suggestions? Anyone found one that worked on them?

Check David's Bridal's site. You can click on the link on the left that says "destination wedding gowns" or something of the sort. They have really flowy gowns that come in regular and plus sizes. You can also just look through all their dresses, some of them aren't under "destinaton" but fit that look.

Look for a dress that has a flowy fabric, but still has structure to it. I would stay away from the satins and tefettas, but look for chiffons and organzas. Many of these dresses will still feel very flowy and beachy, but have structure to give you a great waist,

Maggie Sottero is known for her corsets (trust me, they work wonders - I had a lace one of hers) and she has a number of flowy chiffon dressses that would be beach friendly and still give you shape. Cost for her simpler gowns - $650-1000.
