HELP!! I Need Venue help ASAP!!!

Hello fellow knotties! I'm getting married September 9, 2011, a Friday night. I'm looking to spend no more than $1800 and want an indoor facility that can hold about 250 people and I can have both the ceremony and the reception there. My FI and I are paying for this ourselves so the budget is REALLY, REALLY tight. Thanks in advance for all suggestions!!

This is a total shot in the dark, but I would look at large hotel ballrooms
As venues go, your # of guests is on the high side IMO. . You are also going to have to decide if you are willing to have them split up into several different areas or not. Most can't do a seated and served dinner in just one room for over 250....but big hotels can..

You might want to do heavy apps rather than a full dinner for that many!

I looked at the Marriot Marque downtown and they had huge rooms, and I don't think they were that expensive.

The william payne house can accommodate 250pp and their fees are low. founders hall in roswell can accommodate 250

The Freight Room can hold a ton of people, I don't know what their rates are. Also some of the other loft-type spaces like King Plow but I think they are more than $1800.

I am getting married at King Plow, and they can definitely fit 250 (and more). I don't remember what the fee for Friday night is though. The $1800 you're wanting to spend is only going to the room fee right? Not food? Give them a call. I'm working with Jeffrey Hollington, and he's very helpful.
