Gap between ceremony and reception

Hi all,

We've finally zeroed in on a venue for our wedding.  (yay!)  But because the space is fairly small, (Thompson Landry gallery), we need to have a 2 hour gap to allow for set up for the reception after the ceremony (boo!) We tried to find another space for the ceremony, but they were either not what we wanted or booked.

My question is:
Since we were going to do a cocktail hour anyways, would it be a good idea to reserve some tables in one of the restaurants (like the Boiler House), and have drink and apps there, and then have them come back for the reception when setup is done?  I mean, if it's not raining, there's lots to see in the 2 hours, but I just don't want to leave people stranded.
