Fullerton Arboretum Experiences?

Hey Everyone!  First of all, congratulations on your engagement, upcoming wedding, or recent marriage!

My fiancé and I are very seriously considering the Fullerton Arboretum for both our ceremony and reception in March or April 2011.  Has any one attended a wedding there?  Any thoughts? Concerns?  There website obviously focuses on the park aspect and does not have a lot of information about weddings.

Thanks for your opinions!  I really appreciate them!

I've never been to a wedding there, but from what I've heard is that it's a wonderful place, however, for females, especially those wearing heels, there's a lot of walking to get to the actual wedding site.  I'm not sure if this walking is rocks or grass, but I've heard it can be a pain.  The other thing to consider is that it's all outdoors, so you may need to rent a tent, depending on the weather, since March/April weather is somewhat unpredictable.  I think you also need to get a generator...but i'm not sure.  Other than that though, it's gorgeous.  FI and i looked into it too, but it just wasn't cost effective for us and ended up being over our budget.  Instead, we're having our wedding at the CSUF alumni house and then possibly going to the arboretum for pics :)

I looked into having my wedding there, but there was a lot of dusty trail walking and limited parking.

However, the big turnoff is that you can hear the football stadium from the ceremony sites, and when I asked, they said they wouldn't know for some time whether an event was scheduled there at the same time.

Be sure to ask whether there is anything happening at the football stadium the day you want to have your wedding, because you can hear everything!

I personally don't have experience there but my photographer shot there, I could ask him to send a couple of samples from the ceremony and after shots.

    Let me know and congrats!
