"Bad Romance" -- Appropriate for Wedding?

Is Bad Romance by Lady Gaga okay to play at a reception?  I'd like to have a fun and good song for the reception that everyone knows, but it seems to have a cynical view of love.

I don't think people really listen to song lyrics when they're dancing anyways. It's really just about the beat of the music.

Depens on the corwd you have as well, if most of your gest are young then i will included in the list, and I would play it when most of the older peoplle has steped out of the dance floor. But in the other hand, it is your big day after all, and if your really like that song then juts play it and enjoy it!

We played it at our reception and the dance floor was packed. I agree that nobody really listens to the lyrics. The people who know the song will probably dance, and the older folks who don't know it can't understand Lady Gaga anyway.

I wouldn't worry about it, it's a fun song and lots of people would get up and dance to it!

This song isn't really about "bad romance" - I saw an interview with Lady Gaga and she said it was more about loving someone so much that she is willing to take everything - the good the bad and the ugly!  So I think its totally appropriate and will be playing it ay my wedding!

Most people don't notice the lyrics and you'll probably play this song towards the end of the night, after all the grandmas have gone home? Lady Gaga is too fun to pass up, I would definitely play it!

Not every song has to have a deep meaning to it. Part of the day is about celebrating, and if you're going to have fun dancing to that song, then go for it.

I think its perfect when the random man puts the garter on the girl who caught he bouquet.... quirky, fun and gets everyone back on the dancefloor
