...and I know it.  I just checked our Macy's registry and someone I don't know bought something for us.  However, FILs and my parents don't know this woman either.

I'm wondering if she chose the wrong registry by mistake??  I don't know if she chose to have it shipped directly to the bridge and groom but if an ice bucket shows up at my front door sometime this week I guess I will know!  Hopefully Macy's can contact her if I give them a call about it.

    that's weird.  maybe if it is for you, there will be a card to explain?  i had a vendor (work related) give me a gift from my registry.  i am still sending a thank you card but it is just off a bit.

    Who knows...if she bought it in store and took it out with her, it's not an issue, I will just have to get Macy's to clear it from my registry or add another one or something.

    How do you know who sent it?  Our Macy's registry doesn't tell us.

    Go into registry manager(which is located on the tool bar at the top, once you log in to your registry) then on the left hand column, you will see "thank you card manager."

    Spoiler alert, you will see who sent you every single present.  It also provides a "received" check box and a "thank you card sent" check box to help you keep track of sending thank you notes.

    maybe it is a significant other or assistant for one of the guests. I had to shop for my boss all the time.

    Ohhh noo!!! Thats the worst..Something like this happened to us except the guest is coming to the wedding and was not invited to my shower.. I put our toasting flutes and cake and knife server on our registry thinking that someone who was coming to the shower was going to get those items (we are planning on using them for the wedding) Well we received our cake serving set, and did not get the flutes at the shower even though I knew they were purchased. So I had to go in and look to see who bought them... I am assuming she bought them as a gift to give us at the wedding and didn't think of it like I did (to put them on the registry and get them to use for the wedding) Sooo partly my fault. I have to go any buy them now and will return the one receive as a gift.

    Wait a second, my mind is BLOWN!  Is this Thank You Card feature on all registries?  I don't have a Macy's registry, but I do have one at Williams Sonoma and at Target.  Can I look?  I am DYING to know who bought us the Kitchenaid mixer that I've been lusting over for 10 years.

    It's not on the Target registry. 

    I had a W-S registry for a minute so I could enter a contest they had but deleted after the contest was over and I didn't advertise that we had the registry so unfortunately I didn't spend that much time looking around the site.

    BB&B does not have one, either.  Our Marriott Honeymoon Registry will tell you who bought what, though,

    I'm glad Target and BB&B do not have this feature LOL I have been stalking my registry like crazy and will only be surprised by who got it for me.
    Some one did buy my kitchen aid too! Can't wait to get it :)

    Just played around on Williams Sonoma - pretty sure it doesn't have that feature!  Guess I'll just have to not be so nosy and wait another few weeks instead.  What I did find was a super tacky Facebook share button.  As if I want my wedding registry to be blasted into the world of Facebook!

    I'm also glad I cannot see who bought me what on my BB&B registry. I'm horrible at stalking it. I know I shouldn't. FI says I won't be surprised, but I am surprised as to who bought me what. I knew I was getting my KitchenAid stand mixer I so despratly wanted. I was happy about that. But unwrapping it at my shower on Saturday, and learning my FMIL and FSILs bought it for me made it even more special!

    Haha!!  After a conversation with my sister tonight, I found out who our mystery gifter is!  It is my BIL's SIL!!?!  RANDOM!!  I've never met her, so I'm assuming it was BIL's brother just using her Macy's account.  Funny thing is that I haven't seen him since my sister's wedding in 2001.  

    Crazy random but I will gladly accept the gift and write them a lovely, gushing thank you card b/c neither one of them were invited.  Very nice of them, though!
