Wine

I had a crappy, crappy crappy day. and cannot sleep. So I'm drinking Wine. Why is it that wine, makes everything better?

And what are some of your favorites?

Re: Wine

  • Love me some Pinot Noir :) and yes, wine does make everything better!
  • I have never had Pinot Noir- is it sweet or dry? I like wines that are in the middle.

  • It is a red; personally I think it is in the middle. There are some very good Pinot Noir's from the Pacific Northwest because of the rainfall. They tend to have flavors like dark cherry, cocoa, and sometimes jammy. I think that is why I like it, because I don't like super sweet and I don't like super dry.

Some of my faves are Erath's Pinot Noir (it has a real earthy taste to it) and Nob Hill's Pinot Noir. I also am a fan of Malbec too :)
  • Danielle, You should check your local liquor department and see if they sell any of the wines from Autumn Harvest Winery or River Bend Vineyard in Chippewa Falls. I would recommend:

AHW: Fall Folly, Nothern Lights, Merry Berry
    RBV: Moonlight, Sunset, LaCrescent

Those are my faves. Otherwise, I'm usually happy with any Moscato or Reisling...sometimes Pino Grigio.

Thanks. I know they sell stuff from Viroqua's vineyard here, and it's very yummy
