Pre-wedding Facial advise

Hi there, I am going in Monday for a pre-wedding facial. I have pretty good skin, not too oily or dry, or acne, but my question is this. I am 43, 12 years older than my hubby to be and I'd like to look as young as possible on that day. Of course~

I've never had facials so I was wondering if anyone knew what kind I should get. Anti-aging? Wrinkle reducing? lol

WOW. You're 43? I hope I look that good when I'm in my 40s.

I would just do something basic if you've never had one before. Like PP said the techniques they use will help your skin glow

So if my skin will look great a few days after, should I wait on getting it? My wedding is June 5th, should I get it the week of instead of 2 weeks before?

Hee, being over 5 years older than my hubby and also in my 40's I can totally relate. How my skin looked on my wedding day was so important to me.

I would definitely get your facial a couple of weeks before since you've never had one. I think it's equally important that you keep up with your regular skincare regimen, get good sleep, and drink lots of water. 2 weeks before the wedding I cut out caffeine and salt and my skin looked better on my wedding day than it ever has.

I think they say not to get a facial, like 4 days before the wedding or less due to a possible skin reaction. I've only had a couple facials before, but my skin looked the best a few days after. So, basically, I'm no help lol.

I was told by my facialist that 2 weeks before is the cutoff point. Especially since this is your first facial, you won't know how you're going to react. The facial might make you break out, so 2 weeks gives your skin enough time to heal. I always get a couple pimples after a facial.

Hey, it was only 2 weeks! But seriously, my tummy was flat and I had no bloating or puffiness in my face at all (which tends to be a problem for me.) It works!

I am 50 and have a T-zone. I'm curious about the Proactive system and if it would be a good start for me (and what it consists of). While the wedding most likely will be next fall, it's never to late to get a head start!

I'll keep the caffeine and salt in mind, but holy cow. I don't think I could do without the morning joe, that might be an issue. The salt I think would be ok!
