First few checks! Excited!

Hi everyone,

I am fairly new to the boards. I got engaged to my high school sweetheart (and the man of my dreams) of 8 years on December 14th. We are so excited to have finally decided on a location. Just booked the Tradewinds Island Grand for the ceremony and reception and RJ Vida as our DJ. I've heard so many wonderful reviews about each! These are our first "official" checks! yay!

At the La PLaya in Naples!! Time flys on here. We had about a 15 month engagement. I remember thinking it was going to take FOREVER!!!

Congrats! I'm marrying my high school sweetheart too, know how you feel. I'm looking at the Tradewinds for my Wedding in November. What made you finally choose to get married there? If you don't mind my asking.

nellio-We really wanted the beach and looked almost everywhere. For the location and price we felt that it was prefect. We also looked at the Grand Plaza on St. Pete Beach, that came in close second! We just loved the island feel of the Tradewinds...and Renee has been excellent to work with so far!
