I hate when caterers say they are in your budget! *VENT*

Then you set up the meeting and everything sounds great. They send you the proposal and there is a $1200 SERVICE FEE. WTF! Can you just stop waisting my time and if your aren't in my budget move on to the next person who is! Ugh.

    I TOTALLY agree with what you are saying. It is extremely frustrating. I had the same happen to me with the first venue and caterer that we found. Then about $3000 of additional charges was added on top of everything. It is very disappointing. Do you have a planner that can negotiate those prices down for you? They should be able to get rid of the majority of those extra charges like that. I finally decided that it was worth the money to get one for myself. At least now I dont have to worry about the headache.

    I totally agree with you!! Which caterers are you considering?? My friends who have recently gotten married have worked with a few that are VERY good about keeping within your budget!

    Well, I have met with several cateres. But as of right now we are considering Cocktails Catering. They are cheaper than everyone else so far. We meet with Levans Catering on Wednesday and hopefully we can have a tasting with Cocktails on Wednesday as well. I'm just waiting on their response.

    - have heard good things about Cocktails Catering. From what i hear there service during events is great. It sounds like you have good options to choose from. My fingers are crossed that the meetings go they way you want :)

    Try Tastronomy. That's who we used for a couple friend's weddings. They don't have a website, but the owner's email address is christina@tastronomy.com

    They were very willing to work within their budgets and the food was amazing. They don't charge any service fee or anything like that.
