OK - I need help, this may be dorky!

I REALLY REALLY love Molly Malaney's dress in the Bachelor wedding (I know, I'm a dork)... but there's no way I can afford the Monique Lhuillier pricetag.  Anyway know of or have seen a dress that's similar in their shopping that you can point me in the direction of?

Buy the fabric and see if you can get it made. You'd need a better picture, though. Becky Fowler handmade my dress.

I agree with Emi-contact Becky Fowler and that will probably be the most affordable route

I found it on the designer's website... it's called "sunday rose"... except I wouldn't want the A-line skirt.  Ha, and all along I said I wouldn't want a custom made dress... thank you for the suggestions!

Make sure you go try the Monique on first... to make sure you love it as much in person as you did seeing it on TV, before plunging down the custom route, there's no returns in custom!

Donna is right, but for whatever its worth. My custom dress was about 80% cheaper than if I had bought any of the dresses I saw off the rack. And that includes places like Davids Bridal.

Could someone post Becky's contact information? TIA!

Emi - do you mind saying how much your custom dress was?  (if I'm being too nosey, you can say so!)... I'm just trying to get an idea.

Thank you so much for all of the feedback!

    Thanks Stephanie!

Labor was about $350-400. It was over a year ago so I don't remember exactly. She also included 2 veils. I splurged on my fabric because to me there is nothing worse than cheap fabric. I got silk satin. The entire dress, with shoes, labor, etc cost me about $1000.

I highly recommend getting it made; it was one of the best decisions I made.

I tried on one very similar at Alfred Angelo.  It was one of their piccone ones.  I think it retialed for $2,200 but they have sales a lot.
