Makeup Artist?

I originally planned on just doing it myself because I didn't want to spend the money but now I am thinking I want it to look more dramatic than what I can do myself.  But, I still don't want to spend crazy money.  Any recommendations?  I would just want regular makeup, not air brush.  The wedding is in Conroe so if there is anyone in North Houston that would be better.

Has anyone considered just going to the makeup counter at the mall?

    I have a friend that does AMAZING make-up and she's inexpensive. But the make up counter would be good, too. But you usually have to spend money there, too. I know at MAC, I think you have to make a $50 purchase.

    Yeah, I've heard that.  At least that $50 goes toward something I could use in the future!  All of the actual makeup artists I've seen charge over $100, which just seems crazy to me.

    I used Hair by Liz for my engagement shoot... it was 75 dollars. and that was for airbrush, had eyelashes put on and travel.. She is located in North Houston.  To be honest that was basically my trial for her, so i'm not sure if the prices differ for the actual wedding, but i loved the makeup. couldn't have been happier. her assistant Sonny did it! : ) .
