Gift for Future Sister-in-Law who is officiating our wedding?

Hi all. I'm hoping for some suggestions. My future sister-in-law is officiating our wedding and I want to get her something as a token of our appreciation for officiating our wedding (and as an early bday present since her 30th bday is soon after the wedding). She's a school teacher. She and her husband spend a lot of time at Home Depot and working on their house and work really hard. She's not a big clothes person although she does seem to like jewelry and I think she would be creeped out by a spa package although I have nothing concrete to base this on. Any suggestions on a gift?

  • I have nothing... but I'm going to look here at people's suggestions! I want to get my readers something as a token of appreciation (both are sorority sisters, like jewelry and girly things), but I have no clue either!

As a teacher that spends a lot of time at Home Depot - I think that jewlery, if that's her thing would be good. Teachers get a lot of teacher things, candles, small tokens. If she is working on a teacher salary and working on a house, she probably doesn't have a lot of extra for jewelry. Plus it s a keepsake that she can treasure for a long time.

I gave the ladies in my wedding a silk blend wrap and a small Coach clutch. Items that they all said they enjoy but can't justify buying for themselves.
